3R FOAM Manufacturing has, since August 2002, successfully operated a prototype manufacturing line to recycle and convert cross-link polyethylene foam waste products. The manufacturing plant, located in Bolton, Ontario, Canada has successfully produced over tens of million board feet of 3R FOAM for a wide range of applications, which include, but is not limited to, sport fields, green roofs, and landfills across the United States and Canada.

3R FOAM is manufactured from a unique, patent pending, recycling process that was developed from Post-Industrial cross-linked polyethylene foam waste, which, prior to this unique process, always ended up in a landfill. Non-recycled, cross-linked polyethylene foam waste takes many hundreds, or even thousands of years to degrade, generating serious problems for the stability and longevity of a landfill site. The 3R FOAM process is an economically attractive alternative that recycles the cross-link polyethylene foam waste into continuous, durable environmentally green product.

In addition, the fundamental properties of virgin cross-linked, closed cell polyethylene foam incorporates some exceptional structural, hydraulic and mechanical values not attainable with other raw materials. 3R FOAM has distinctive characteristics resulting in indisputable performance and greatly improved cost advantages making it an effective alternative to currently used products. The unique properties of 3R FOAM offers a magnitude of new applications and end uses well beyond traditional construction materials, both natural and synthetic.
